Hi all,
We head off in two days for our month long visit to Vietnam and Cambodia. It looks like we will be in either Battambang or Siem Reap for Christmas.
I have heard about child beggars in both locations so would like to do something nice.
I usually make killer kebabs for boxing day, with ham, pineapple, banana and capsicum and a really nice sauce. Usually they are barbequed but would be fine without cooking.
Would I be able to buy these ingredients in either location and would they be appropriate gifts for the kids?

You'd be able to buy all that except perhaps the capsicum. Either place would be fine. There are a lot of street kids around but I'm not sure how practical it would be to round some up for a cook up. perhaps mention it to your guesthouse and see what they have to say.
Look forward to seeing some pics ;-)
