Honeymoon in Vietnam or Cambodia?
We are planning on spending our honeymoon in Cambodia around mid-September, however I am getting mixed feelings about whether we should actually travel to Cambodia go to Vietnam instead.
Being our honeymoon we obviously want to spend the last few days pampering ourselves in a nice hotel, however we would like to travel around to experience the country and culture. If possible maybe even include a dive or 2 though it seems Cambodia isn't quite the place for it.
We intend spending around 2 weeks in total.
Your comments would be appreciated.

I've lived and worked (in tourism) in both countries and there's a lot to say for both.
Cambodia is the obvious smaller country with some interesting highlights for you. Off course temples of Angkor for dose of culture and then there are 2 beach destinations. Sihanoukville on the cambodian coast may not be the ideal place for honeymooners but there are some very fine beaches (on the islands) that are great for honeymooners. Although, the accommodation is very simple there. Do not expect luxury but diving is reasonable/good.
Kep is the other coastal town and very suitable for honeymooners but alas no diving. There are however some very nice hotels and restaurants for the two of you. Kep lacks any highlights but the natural setting should make up for that.
All in all those three towns together should make a good managable honeymoon.
Vietnam is much bigger and for a 2 week honeymoon it would be best to limit yourself to 1 section of the country.
Northern Vietnam is very good for seeing something of the culture (Hanoi, hilltribes, Halong bay) but lacks diving and good beaches.
Middle Vietnam would be a good choice for mix of culture and beach but also diving not great.
Southern Vietnam has some decent diving (but nothing spectacular)and it is mostly centred around beaches and beach hollidays.
Overall Vietnam has the better hotels for honeymoon arrangements but Cambodia is catching up and especially Siem Reap has some excellent hotels to suit your taste

one other thing:
I saw that your planned trip is in mid-september. Give Cambodia another good look since September and October are not the best months to visit either because of rainy season.
A few good days of rain can not be avoided in both countries during that period but Vietnam has the added risk of real typhoons making landfall in that period. Would be a pity if you just happened to be there at the time. Do research on that if you favor Vietnam. They loose strength when going overland to Cambodia. Just a thought.
