Travelling this Chinese New Year to Siem Reap required some research. We three friends did not care to sardine into a hotel room for a whole week. I discovered na Ry House online, and after delightful correspondence with the director, decided to take a chance. We were glad we did.
The house is beautiful, furnished tastefully, and spacious. Three bedrooms (King, Queen & Double), and two bathrooms, make the stay for a group far more relaxing than any hotel. The shared areas include an upstairs deck off the master bedroom, a lovely covered terrace with tables, benches and lounge-type chairs. There is also an umbrella table, for those who prefer more sunshine. The na Ry House is a short walk (and an embarrassingly short Tuk Tuk ride) from the old Market. The area affords one a glimpse at local life, but without any concern for one’s safety.
At na Ry, one’s every need is indulged. The staff are excellent. The house has a maid during the day, a guard at night, and the woman who overseas everyone is able to speak English well. She comes herself to cook breakfast, and manages at the Frangiapani Spa (So she is able to arrange all your appointments).
It is perfect for groups and folk with children, because of the abundance of space and the yard.
