Set in a stunningly designed villa, the Magic Sponge guesthouse offers clean, spacious air-con or fan rooms with en-suite toilets and hot showers. Dormitory beds are also available and all beds are fitted with top quality mattresses and pillows for a superb night’s sleep in comfort. Hi. Yes the two places are connected. The owners of The Magic Sponge in Kampot set up and ran the very successful bar of the same name on Lake Side, Phnom Penh. The business was sold last year and it's current operation is not connected in any way with The Magic Sponge in Kampot.

Just spent 5 days there - was meant to be two! Amazing place, really well run, great food (try the big breakfast or the huge sub sandwich). Everyone there is very friendly, especially Roy and Neil. They take no commissions and are invaluable sources of advice and avarice. Absolutely 100% recommended. If you like Scrabble challenge Neil...

Staying here at the moment. Can't recommend this place enough. Big, clean and comfy rooms. Great facilities. Great food. Great staff. A top place.
