Here is a new hotel that opened a few months ago in Battambang: Au Cabaret Vert
Very nice hotel that is a bit away from city noise, yet at 500 meters from the famoushouse of the governor.
This is a hotel with individual bungalows which all have superb views of the pool. And it is a natural swimming pool! No chlorine or chemicals: water is filtered by plants! Thecolor of the water initially and then surprise, what a joy to swim in water that does not sting the eyes or skin ...
The restaurant is open to people who do not sleep, and it's worth: French cuisine(delicious tournedos Rossini, and foie gras) but also the delicious Cambodian cuisine.
An address to go: to sleep or eat

We stayed at Stung Sanke Hotel which was good. Big well furnished rooms, very clean, good laundry service but no restaurant except for breakfast which was very good with a huge choice to suit everyone. Lovely swimming pool and close to everything but without the noise.
We ate at:
Riverside Balcony Restaurant which was great
Gekko, interesting view from the balcony with lovely food and very good service. They had a good selection of Western dishes too.
La Villa - nice hotel with elegant surroundings and good, though limited, menu.
Smoking Pot was terrible. Food service was mixed up and the left hand didn't seem to know what the right was doing, drinks orders mixed up or didn't arrive, and my fish was cremated. Living on their laurels?
