"Battambang is screaming out for a little guest house" according to Travelfish and La Villa has answered the call. Housed in a restored colonial building, La Villa consists of 6 rooms and an wonderful bar/restaurant. The whole place has been done with 1950's/60's furniture and accents, from the ceiling fans to the wardrobes.

The bar in the back is fantastically done and worth a visit, even if you don't stay there. The food was excellent as well. There is no website, but a copy of the brochure is located at (http://www.canbypublications.com/siemreapads/lavillabtbpage.htm) and the staff speak French, English and Khmer. The place is located across the river, near the small bridge. For 50.00 a night it is not cheap, but its worth a stop. (make sure you ask for one of the top floor rooms)
