The Number 9 rooms in Siem Reap were much nicer than the one in Phnom Phen, but missing the lakeside bar. The food is very good and the family was very nice. The rooms go for $2-6. The Number 9 in Phnom Phen has very basic rooms, but the atmosphere is why you stay there. Everyone at who stays there hangs out at the bar so it is very easy to meet people.

Agree the bar / restaurant area is a selling point if you want to meet other people, but it was pretty seedy when we were there (pimps, prostitutes and drugs). Enjoy it but just watch your bag and don't take anyone home!
