Botanica is Kep's latest budget guesthouse. Very clean stone bungalows with straw roofs in an inspiring garden setting, attracting lots of butterflies. Botanica is the only place in Kep with private bungalows under $10 a night! Located 2km out of town but providing free bicycles and arranging motobikes for $6 per day. Botanica restaurant serves beautifully presented inspirational world kitchen such as Peruan 'Bisteck a la pobre', Indonesian 'chicken in turmeric', Algerian 'LHam el Hlou', Belgian 'Vol au Vent' and many more. Belgian beers are on the menu. Definitely worth checking out!

VERY good value! Did not stay but the huts were simple but stylish and about ten dollars. Nice restaurant with pool table, but view not the best in town-but with this ambiance at these prices who's complaining? Owned by a nice european guy.

Siem Reap to Phomn Penh by road or boat early May? Has anyone done this trip at this time of year? Hear road 'tedious' with little to see and river may be too low to do the boat ride comfortably (need to walk, bus and trans-shop). if so will fly!
