I wanna end my 3 weeks in Vietnam in Ha Giang, and then go to Yangshuo (Guilin) for another 3 days backpacking.

How could I get from Ha Giang to Yangshuo?

Is there a train that goes this way?

    Thanks a lot :-)

Sorry - may be too late to reply to this, and can't say from personal experience. However, a friend did something like this a couple years back (in reverse). Probably you'll just want to cross the border at Lang Son independently and get a bus to Nanning - from there you can get trains to Guilin. If you are going to head back through Hanoi anyway - it might be better to arrange a bus straight from Hanoi to Nanning that takes you through the border.

For China, there is no visa on arrival - so it may be that you have to go back to Hanoi to take care of that anyway.
