Sorry, couldn't resist the double entendre but it seems that in Russia this punk band represent a great deal of resentment against Putin.
Unfortunately, for me, I seem to be the only one interested in Russian politics.I was hoping things might change because I would love to get an extended visa for Russia.
Plus the jail time these girls have served and are likely to serve represents the sort of repression associated with the old regime.Hardly surprising I suppose considering Putin's background in the KGB.

These brave girls have already spent 5 months in prison in Russia and are looking at a possible 7 year sentence for merely holding a protest against Putin.
I am sure there are many young people on this site and many show caring natures by wishing to volunteer for projects to help those in need.
Have you ever thought that repressed people are also in need of support?
Many years ago the protest movements such as the anti-Vietnam war were part and parcel of the young's culture and did much to change, or at least highlight injustice.
I would like to think the members of Travelfish see the importance of supporting these girls so I've posted a link to Nadezhda Tolokonnikova's facebook site and the Pussy Riot site
I have also posted a link from the British Guardian newspaper which has shown support for the right to protest.
Let's show some support by making an entry.
If nothing else, it will help her and the two other girls on trial and the three 'on the run' feel that the rest of the world have not forgotten them.
Let's support the the fundamental right to protest and highlight the repressive regime in Russia. http://www.facebook.com/NadezhdaTolokonnikova http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2012/aug/01/*****-riot-reminder-revolution-culture http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2012/aug/01/pussy-riot-reminder-revolution-culture

Could this lead to Putin's premature ejeculation?
