On the recommendation of long time member Tilapia, welcome to cycling section of the Travelfish forum.
To get things going, I've searched through for some existing threads on cycling, but I'm sure there'll be a host of new posts coming in now that we've got a dedicated thread for this topic.
As someone who positively belongs to the mindset of "why pedal when you've got a motorbike handy" I'm not the best equipped to put an FAQ together on this topic, but I'll try and get one rustled up in the near future...
