Hi.. I shall be travelling to SEA (thailand ,laos, combodia, vietnam) for 7 weeks starting 1 dec ( first time solo). I'm carrying about $500 in cash, $1000 in travellers cheques, and another $2000 in my visa prepaid travel card. My queries are:
1. Is this too much/too little/just right? ( my flights in and out of Bangkok are already paid for..I plan to stay in reasonably priced hostels, avoid fancy restaurants, and travel by road)
2. Which ones(cash/TC/card) are to be used in which places?
3. Is it advisable to carry all your cash/TC/card, passport, important documents etc. on your person at all times? or shall I leave most in the hostel locker and carry just enough when I'm on a night out (to be safe in case I'm drugged/mugged)?
