Okay great thanks for that and one more question. I only have around 23 days for both could i do this on my own in this amount of time or would a tour be more time efficient?
Do it on your own. Tours in this area are over-priced and generally stick to a rigidly defined tourist trail.
Instead, keep an eye out for local 1-3 day tours, like hiring a personal motorbike guide in central Vietnam or a Mekong boat trip or a volunteer opportunity in Cambo.
