Whenever I go on vacation my favorite thing to take home, except for the photos, is jewelry. On my trip to shanghai I brought back stunning Chinese cloisonné earrings. In Hong Kong I bought red lacquer earrings. In Tibet found mala beads, the famous dzi beads and huge beautiful turquoise rings. In Thailand and Indonesia I found some amazing coconut bangles and necklaces. What is your favorite piece of jewelry you have bought on holiday?

The sheer pleasure of moving jewelry across national boundaries can only be rivalled by one thing ... selling it.

I bought some beautiful gold earings with matching necklace and bracelet in Saudi Arabia for my then wife. Of course, I wasn't exactly on vacation at the time.
