We currently block all traffic from China due to it being used as a base to attack the site a month or so back, plus it cuts the spam level by about 80%. We did lift the block a few weeks ago but the spam appeared almost instantly, so the block is back.
Site can be accessed through a VPN -- I know that is less than ideal, but that is the best solution we have for the moment.
On a recent trip to China I used ssltube.com (no www.) to access TF. It wasn't perfect but is worth a shot if you're travelling through rather than living in China and don't have a VPN connection.

I keep recommending TF to people here in China and it seems it is blocked.
I don't know why ... China isn't covered / rarely mentioned.
Unless all the computers are just terrible here and can't cope with it.
Anyone else in China confirm?

You're not the first person to mention this, I saw it on another thread - yes it's blocked.

i use astril. freegate works (as a free vpn) but it needs to be constantly updated as China is chasing down the program.
