Hello guys, I'll be traveling SE Asia for approx 6 months, and heard about people who travel alot can post blogs on certain websites and they get paid for it, from ad revenue mostly I think, like google adcents or things like this. Just curious if anybody does this or knows a good website to blog on that offers something similar to this?

I just plan to write daily blogs about what ive experienced and all the different places I'll be passing through along with pictures ect. any insight here is greatly appreciated, thanks guys.

First step - learn to spell 'writing'! :-)

I can't help with with other sites, but maybe get in touch with Somtam2000 (owner of this site) and see what he is looking for these days. TF have a regular set of blog writers based in different areas of SEA.

I have a Google Blogger blog about beaches and islands - mainly Thailand, Indo and Malaysia.
I wouldn't call it a good earner - it gets over a thousand hits a day but the Google Adsense advertisements earn less than a dollar a day. I give it to SURF AID charity - an outfit set up by an NZ surfing doctor which specialises in giving medical and other aid to people in Nias, the Mentawis and nearby islands of western Sumatra - this outfit had a boat in the area when the 2004 tsunami hit and was a first responder - and again a few years later when a less publicised tsunami flattened the same area.
But hell, a few dollars a day can buy you a few beers a day when travelling, and the blog is a good way to keep memories of your trip and to inform other people who may be thinking of going the same way.
