after afew months loitering on this forum i'm actually setting off tomorrow! i might even be able to give some good Laos/Malaysia input once i'm done with China

I hope all will go well, i'm experiencing some pre-trip nerves but the Johnnie Walker on the rocks has helped

    Thanks
    Chris

Hey Christay! I'm off at the end of the month too. Not sure if our paths will cross but if not hope you have a life changing trip.

Be sure and let us know how it goes. Have fun!

So far so good! Although my notions of blogging my trip habve hit a snare in china at least as it seems blogger is blocked! Might jus have to be a much briefer laos blog unless anyoneknows away around the great firewall?

Thanks for the luck! I'll make sure I'll keep loitering

Dictatorial governments can be funny like that sometimes...

Have fun. Look forward to your next update.

I can't remember if you said you were taking your own netbook/laptop or not Chris. But if you did are computer savvy (I'm not) try and have a look at this site.

    http://www.torproject.org/

A Reuters article about two weeks ago said it gets round 80% of the blocks in China (Sounds like it might be useful for people wanting to blog from Burma too)

Otherwise you could maybe post some trip reports on TF seeing as you apparently still have access to that! ;-)
