Hi everyone, does anyone know how I go about getting a visa for India? I'm planning a two month backpacking trip from start of June to end of July.
I've heard it's easier to get one beforehand, rather than try and get one on entry, is this true?

A Tourist Visa-on-Arrival shall be granted to a foreigner who is a national of Finland, Japan, Luxembourg, New Zealand , Singapore, Cambodia, Vietnam, Philippines, Laos, Myanmar and Indonesia Visa-on-Arrival will be provided only at designated international airportsnamely, Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata and NOT at any other Immigration CheckPost (ICP).
But if you are not the citizen of any these above mentioned countries then it will be easier to get t it beforehand because as per the extent instructions of the Government of India a tourist visa may be issued normally for three months to six months with single, double or multiple entries and is non-extendable and non-convertible.Kindly ensure all the fields of the visa application form are completely filled before submitting.
