7 Weeks Thailand/Laos/Vietnam/Cambodia

Hello all,

Ok to start I know this is one of those more ground to cover than time allows but help me to decide.

I have read countless threads but want have discrepancies I need cleared up. One of the main problems is I am unsure of how long it'll take to get from place to place.

Here is an idea so far:

Arrive In BKK June 17th and stay leave 19th to fly to Chiang Mai .
Stay in Chiang Mai from 19th-21st and Visit Chiang Dao from 21st-23rd. Maybe add another place close to Chiang Dao/Chiang Mai? Essentially use Chiang Mai as a type of travel hub.

Next fly from Chiang Mai to Vientiane , Laos (23rd-26th). Fly from Vientiane to Da Nang if possible. Stay in Da Nang 26th-28th.

28th-30th Hoi An
30th unsure where to go from Hoi An. Thinking Kon Tum or Pleiku or should I stay on the coast?
(not sure of time frame for travel here)

3rd-6th Na Trang
6th-8th Dalat
8th-12th HCMC

from HCMC we are not sure if it is possible to go to Phu Quoc Island or if time should be spent going to Phnom Penh?

Phnom Penh to Siem Reap (not sure of time frame

Siem Reap to BKK or surrounding areas.

The last part of the trip is another thing I need help on. Not sure what to do so recommendations are needed.

Let me know what you think and if this is somewhat logical. There are just so many places to see and so many things to do I am having trouble. This is my first time going anywhere across seas so be kind :)

Whoa there; too fast.

Take it a bit slower. The start's OK, but stay a little longer in Northern Thailand. From there your itinerary has you fly to Vientiane for 3 nights and then on to Vietnam. Rather than that fly to Luang Prabang from Chiang Mai and spend 2 weeks in Laos. If you can, go up to Nong Khiaw from Luang Prabang and then make your way down to Vientiane. But don't rush - and please don't only see Vientiane in Laos, that's crazy.

From Vientiane, fly to Vietnam and potentially spend your last 3 weeks there. Have a good read about where you may definately want to go and then come back and ask more questions. Its difficult to advise as you don't say what your priorities are - do you want lots of beaches, or enjoy nightlife, prefer big cities or quieter places, do you for definitely want to see Angkor ? The more info you give, the more people can help.
