Just read a few posts on here and i thought id join and add my own for some advice and too maybe meet some people going and doing the same things as me as im going solo
First stop is Full Moon Party In Koh Phangnan i will be with 3 friends here as they are coming for New Years Eve with me then 1 out of the 3 is staying for a month to do a spot of Tubing in Laos
After that im booked on an organised tour with Real Gap for a month in Vietnam with a week of volunteering with children and after that its Australia for 3 months!! ALONE!!!
Anyone going to be travelling around the same time?

Hi.
You won't be alone for long in Australia if you are staying in hostels. There will be plenty of other young people (I'm guessing you are young if you are going to a full moon party and tubing!) I was in Australia way back in 97, originally with boyfriend and a group of other young tourists we met in Sydney. I spent 6 weeks getting drunk with foreigners in the evening and delievering leaflets with foreigners in the daytime. It wasn't until I flew to Darwin alone and then made my way down the middle and back to Sydney over the next five months that I started having a wonderful time: actually working and living and hanging out with Aussies! Imagine that! There are some right cases in the small towns in the rural areas.
Don't get stuck with other expats and don't spend all your cash on beer when you could be off doing things would be my advice. Also watch out for all those teas/coffees/soft drinks that become a daily habit in Asia but cost an awful lot more back in a Western cafe!

I'm sure they will! I had originally planned on three months in Sydney but spent six months, four of which were spent living in a tent in the Grampians National Park!
