laos in June and July

    I'll be travelling around south east asia and plan to be in laos around june and july. What should I expect in terms of road conditions and travel to some of the smaller villages?

    I imagine it will be quite muddy. The smaller villages will be fun if you have a good companion who likes to drink plenty of Beer Lao. You might also want to consider bringinging someone who can defend you from snakes with a big stick. If this is the same person, even better!

    dnuts is right -- expect some mud! Particularly in the north of the country, landslides are not uncommon...but everyone gets where they're going....eventually!
