Hi all,
Thanks to everyone who takes the time to post their advice here. You are SO helpful!
My husband and I are doing the Bangkok-Cambodia-Vietnam-Laos-Chiang Mai-Andaman Coast-Bangkok loop from mid-June to late July this coming summer.
I've been having a tough time getting detailed info on these airpasses people have discussed in the past.
We are considering flying between the following places:
Bangkok to Siem Reap (or PP)
Hanoi to Vientiane
Chiang Mai to Krabi (or Phuket)
What is your experience? Is it best to arrange an Airpass/ flight coupons in advance? Or should we try to buy tickets separately on budget domestic/internet based airlines? Should we buy these in advance or in-country?
Also, any concerns regarding the safety of these budget airlines (love to travel, but flying makes me nervous!)

I forgot to add that we will be flying from Africa to Bangkok on Ethiopian air so some of the airpass deals that require you to fly from North American to the destination country won't work for us.
