I have 6 weeks left. did laos and cambodia so far..in thailand i have been to bangkok and chiang mai.. thinking about vietnam and thai islands...any suggestions?

I'm not sure about vietnam as i've never been there but if it was me I'd dedicate at last half of your six weeks to some island hopping and beach relaxation before the end of your trip. Depending on your visa situation it might be better to do vietnam first to save you travelling all the way down south and then back up again, but thats obviously depending on where you are now and where you're flying out from. Oh and I'd choose either the andaman or gulf coast to save travel time aswell.

Also make sure you fly into Thailand, or the Visa becomes a hassle.
