Hi all
I'm heading to Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos for December and January. Any advice on which order to do things? The travelfish itinerary goes south through Laos and Cambodia, then north up the coast of Vietnam. Any reason why we should do it this way rather than work down through Vietnam and up through Cambodia finishing in Laos?
We'll be flying from the UK to Asia and out to Brisbane afterwards so have flexibility in what airport we fly to and from.

Which airport are you flying into? Hanoi?
I don't think there's a real reason to do the itinerary other than the way you want to do it. Do you know where in each country you are planning on visiting yet?

Either way works. But if you're flying into one airport and out of another (which would make sense) then it's worth looking at if one option is cheaper than the other.

If you do Vietnam last you can get your visa in one of the neighboring countries. More convenient than getting it in UK. If you fly into VN you have no choice but to get it in advance.

Good points from the others and you can certainly do it the other way around
To add one minor reason: most people tend to want to finish their travels by the beach and in an easy manner.
Ending in Laos your travels at the end are not the easiest. Not hard but bus rides in Laos are a bit longer and less comfortable. And obviously no beaches in Laos.
Ending in Vietnam you would have plenty of chance to visit beaches and a few days in Halong Bay would be relaxing before you fly away.
