Southeast Asia forum

Hello All,

I will be spending 8 weeks traveling in SE Asia in June and July. I will be with a friend for the first 4 weeks, at which point we will part ways when we depart from Koh Pha Ngah. At that point I will continue solo for the next four weeks of my trip. I am thinking of continuing south through Malaysia and Singapore, then cross over into Indonesia, eventually flying out of Jakarta.

Do you think that 4 weeks is adequate to travel from Koh Pha Ngah to Jakarta or even Bali? I would love to see Bromo Tengger Semeru National park but don't know if 4 weeks will be adequate to make it that far.

Do you think this distance is too ambitious? Also, do you think solo traveling through Malaysia and Indonesia is fine? I am 23 yr male.
