Hey
I'll be doing 12 weeks in Southeast Asia from Mid-June onwards. I have added all of the typical locations to my itinerary - Bangkok, Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, Vientiane, Vang Vieng, Ho Chi Minh, Hanoi, Hue etc..
I am however looking to go off the beaten track slightly. Could anyone offer some more good locations for me to check out, which are likely to have at least a few Westerners?
Thanks,
Jake

Few westerners go to Isan province in Thailand... i.e. Samphan Bok (Three thousand holes)and Konglor Cave in Laos are off the western tourist trail pretty much.

If you go up the western bank of the mekong, Khemmerat, Don Tan, Mukdahan, That Phanom, Nakkon Phanom, Nong Khai... Interesting area with no tourists. Certainly very few western tourists.

Banlung, Cambodia is slightly off the track. Nice place. I like it.
