We're first-time travelers to Asia, and we're planning to take a roughly 2-week trip in late November. We're thinking of 6 nights in Bangkok, 4 nights in Siem Reap and 4 nights in Phuket, taking flights for the regional travel. Is this too much time in Bangkok and Siem Reap? Should we try to squeeze in another city, or even country?

I wouldn't try to squeeze in another country.

I'm not sure if you can fly direct from Siem Reap to Phuket, if not you'll need to go through Bangkok.

if this is your first time to the region, six nights in Bangkok and four in Siem Reap seems like a lot -- if instead you had perhaps three nights in Bangkok and three in Siem Reap, that would give you enough time to fit in another island -- perhaps Ko Samet or one of the islands out of Krabi -- or just spend the extra days lolling about on Phuket. Unless you've got a particular interest in the ruins at Angkor, four nights is a lot.
