Sure if you've got cable TV in your guesthouse or hotel you can probably watch the games without getting out of bed, but if you do want to get out and about to enjoy the games with a crowd, here is a starting list of places to enjoy the games.

Note, this is very much a work in progress. If you know other places worth listing, please add them into the comments.

You can download the official schedule here.

    BURMA - Yangon
    50th Street Bar and Grill 9-13, 50th Street, Yangon T: (01) 397 060 Opening ceremony party here
Barista-Lavazza - next to United Living Mall. 16 Kyaik Ka San road, Tamwe

    CAMBODIA - Phnom Penh
The Gym Bar, St 178, Phnom Penh: Lots of screens and great food
Score Bar, St 282, Phnom Penh: Huge screens, open for all games (subject to demand) plus reruns during the day
Paddy Rice, Riverside: Drinks promos and plenty of space. Will be showing all live games with replays the next day
Aussie XL, St 51: A smaller venue but can get busy
3 Mangoes Guesthouse: St 360: Has a pool!

    CAMBODIA - Siem Reap
Joey's Sports & Burger Bar, Ta Phul Street (street behind Angkor market supermarket)
Yellow Sub, The Lane (small screens, Beatles-themed bar with roof terrace - smarter than most bars in Siem Reap)
Charlie's Bar, Corner of Street 11 & The Alley
It is expected, though not yet advertised, that games will also be shown on big projector screens at Soup Dragon and Banana Leaf -- opposite each other on Pub Street, so this will be busiest!

    LAOS - Luang Prabang
A lot of the schedule will be no good for Luang Prabang with the (permanent) curfew of 11:30pm but the Aussie Bar will try and do replays during the day via satellite or streaming which can be painfully slow. We try to compensate for the slowness by drinking a lot of beer.

Aussie Sports Bar: Ban Aham, Sisouphan Road. T: (071) 25 4706

Many McDonald's, Community Centres, Harry's Bar, Muddy Murphy's and Hong Lim Park will be screening games. Also local coffeeshops (with complimentary old men betting) -- all across the island.

    THAILAND - Chiang Mai
    Archers: 133/4 Ratchapakanai Road, T: (083) 637 7621. Open from 5am.
Living Room Bar: 70/20 Chaiya Phum Rd. Owner Denis from Portsmouth, has 24 hour licence and is a football fanatic (if you enter Living room before curfew, you can't leave till 5am).

    THAILAND - Phuket
Unit 27, a fitness centre in Chalong will be screening games.

    VIETNAM: Da Nang
Murphys Irish Bar, Lo 4, B4.4 Truong Sa, My An, Ngu Hanh Son, Da Nang. Near Pullman Resort. T: (093) 531 12 02

    VIETNAM: Hanoi
House of Son Tinh, 31 Xuan Dieu, Tay Ho. All the decent games.
Puku, 16/18 Tong Duy Tan Street, Hoan Kiem. All games.
Finnegan's Irish Pub, 32 Luong Ngoc Quyen, Hoan Kiem. T: (0903) 238 607. Showing all games but may need to do a lock down so get there before midnight or call from the door to be let in.
The Kitchen, 30 To Ngoc Van, Tay Ho. T: (04) 3719 2679. Showing all 11pm and 2am games.

    VIETNAM: Hoi An
3Dragons: 51 Phan Boi Chau Street, Hoi An. T: (0127) 5050 400. Promos on beer and food, streaming all the games live.
Salt Water Homestay: 97 Cua Dai Rd. They have a pool, drinks promos and will host the WC live. Should be popular.
Ly Thuong Kiet Street: Near the traffic lights at the Hai Ba Truong intersection is a small local cafe (opposite the Dragon Club). They show the football live. It's hugely popular and impossible to miss when a games on as the crowd spreads out in to the road.
Another great local area is the Old Danang Rd - heading off Hai Ba Truong towards the bus station. There are loads of tiny local cafes that show the World Cup. Great atmosphere.
All places in the old town are governed by a 23:00 licence - so no World Cup.

    VIETNAM: Saigon
Blue Gecko: 31 Ly Tu Trong, D1. T: (08) 3824 3483. Laid back bar that is a fixture in the HCMC bar scene. Play pool while watching the footie.
Boomarang: 107 Ton Dat Tien, Phu My Hung. T: (090) 823 75 17. Located lakeside at the Crescent Promenade. 4 big screens accompanied with pints of beer.
Game On: 115 Ho Tung Mau, D1. T: (08) 6251 9898. Six different LCD screens and two projectors. Showing all matches
McSorleys : 4 Thao Dien, D2. T: (08) 3519 4659. A bit of a trek but worth it. Big venue showing Cup matches and is a favourite with expats. If you get too hot, jump in their dip pool.
Phattys: 46-48 Ton That Thiep, D1. T: (08) 3821 0796. Three LCD screens and 1 projector. has a schedule. Looks like all of them.
Spotted Cow: 111 Bui Vien, D1. T: (08) 3920 7668. Right in backpacker central. Ground floor has 3 or 4 screens. Runs daily 2 for 1 food specials and has a busy quiz on the top floor on Thursday.

Please let us know other venues worth listing!

    Have fun

Those bars you have mentioned in HCMC/Saigon will not even show all the games are not open 24/7.

In the tourist area of HCMC the best place to watch is Universal Bar, 90 Bui Vien, Pham Ngu Lao, D1. It's regaurded as the home of football. The best place to watch the 2014 World Cup in Saigon is a new bar called The Orient, 24 Ngo Van Nam, D1. Off Le Thanh Ton. It has the best TV's and picture quality.

Oh I forgot to add, in Khon Kaen, in the university quarter (Lan maw) there will be a lot of bars showing the games on big screen TVs and projectors. These are mostly open air venues (or just a roof) and will be easy to spot if you just walk around or ask around.

Apols for Bangkok not being on the list. Here's a good list of places in the Big Mango showing games, including some during curfew (if it's not lifted before then):

sghsaigon's response is not wholly correct. I can confirm that Game On, at least, was open for the 5am game today (so assume it is open for others).
