Can someone help me with the best and cheapest way of getting from either koh samui or phuket/krabi to Siem Reap. Flights direct from Samui to Siem Reap seem to be quite expensive. Am i best to go Islands-Bangkok-Siem Reap? Or part flight part overland or something?
Thanks!

Cheapest way is overland via Bangkok. Fastest way is flying.

Agree with the above.

The "best" way is to go into Cambodia via Had Lek in the province of Trat, then take the ferry to Sihanoukville, bus to PP, then boat up to Siem Reap. Certainly not the fastest or least expensive way to get there, but it's one of the most interesting.

i know the flights siem reap to ko samui are expensive but if it only takes 45minutes rather than a near total of 24 hours (sr to bbkto Surat thani to ok samui)surely the price, food and time may worth it? Thanks for the advice
