Hi there
Does anyone know about organised 3-5 day tours from Chang Mai to Laos (Luang Prabang) which include a transit visa??

Hi Sunshine.
You can book these trips in almost any hotel in Chiang Mai. I forgot the name of my hotel, but they booked my one day trip to the Golden Triangle for me.Most people are verry helpfull.
Have a nice trip.

Thanks Rob, do you or anyone know if they do one way tours though that include a visa? I am worried about sorting a visa for Laos in time and also know its quite a trek to Luang Prabang so thought organised tranport may be a better option?

You can get a visa on arrival at the border -- I'd expect that is what any travel agency will suggest.

Just booked a tour from Chaing mai to Luang Prabang today
Day 1 Chiang Mai to Chiang Khong
Day 2 Huay Xai to Pakbeng
Day 3 Pakbeng to Luang prabang
Including visa, all transfers and accomodation in Chiang Khong but not pakbeng.
1700 BHT.
If you go to the border you might have to wait in line for an hour or 2.
There are loads tourist info places and hostels which will do it. Shop around for the best deal.
