I'm thinking about spending a week in SE Asia (as a stop off from HK) in the first week of November. THis seems to clash with the wet season (especially in Thailand). Can anyone recommend a chilled place to go with nice beaches during this time? Koh Chang seems like a safter bet weather-wise... thanks

Ko Chang and the islands surrounding it are excellent in November -- I'd say look no further. Ko Wai and Ko Maak in particular are good laid back options...
