Hey everyone!
I'm a first-year Nursing student, studying and living in Melbourne Australia. 19 years old. Half Australian, half Israeli. Male. (now I know what ur thinking... it sounds like I'm applying for a dating service... but it gives you a general picture of who's writing this)
I am planning a trip to SE Asia after my exams which means I'll be hopping on a plane to Bangkok around mid-Nov.
I plan on backpacking alone, or at least leaving my house alone, through out Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam for two months.
I've been reading alot of info about SEAsia on this website (it's great by the way) but I still havn't gotten my head around this trip.
Now this is kind of random, but I would love it if anyone and everyone would post anything that they've experienced during their trip to these countries. Could be a special town in the middle of no-where. Could be an awsome backpackers in a dodgy street in Bangkok. Could be a nice restaurant or food stall that they've eaten at... as I said, ANYTHING!
Basically any recommendations about backpacking around this area.
Smile!

Hi. I think much of what you are looking for is already available on the site. Enjoy a few hours reading the write-ups and features outlining the different towns, events, restaurants, etc. There are also reviews of guest houses, restaurants, etc. written by your fellow Travelfishers to help steer you towards (or clear of) good (and not so good) places. After that, you can come back and ask specific questions about places that sound good and things you want to do and you'll get great responses to your specific questions.
Good luck with your final exams and have a great trip.
