What is the best and most economical way to get from Ho Chi Minh to Siem Reap?

best? This answer is subjective. Some might think a bus and boat journey through the Mekong Delta to Phnom Penh, then a bus journey to Siem Reap to be up there with the best.
Others might say that overland travel sucks so flying is the best option.
Others may say that a bus from Saign to Phnom Penh, and another bus to Siem Reap is the best.
Horses for courses.
most economical?
The least expensive will be bus/bus by far. The next most economical will probably be by plane, followed by bus/boat/bus.

OK the best would be having Scotty beam me over... but right now that's still not an option. I'd pay good money for that option.
