I will be flying out of the states on 11/26 and will make it to SE asia on 11/27. I will fly out of SE asia on 12/20. This is 23 nights. I would like to ideally make it to the full moon festival in Koh Phangan on 12/2. How much better is that than the half moon festival?
Here's what I have so far for my itinerary.
11/27-11/30- Bangkok, Thailand
Fly, and boat to
11/30-12/3 - Koh Phangan, Thailand
Boat and fly to
12/3-12/6 -Siem Reap cambodia
drive to
12/6-12/8 - Phnom Penh cambodia
drive to
12/8-12/10 - Ho ChihMin
fly or drive to
12/10-12/12- Hoi An
fly to
12/12-12/14 Penang
drive to
12/14-12/16 Kuala Lumpar
drive to Singapore
12/16-12/18
fly out of singapore back to states
2 days still left
What are your thoughts? I would like to see Laos, and more of vietnam, but it doesn't seem feasible. Should I forgo on Malaysia all together? I also wanted to see northern thailand, but again that doesn't seem feasible. Ideally I would like a trip that provides cultural immersion with awesome nightlife.

Hi erichlin,
I'd say drop Malaysia entirely and spread out those days across the other destinations. Finish in Saigon with a cheap flight to Singapore for your exit.
Full Moon Party is much bigger than the half Moon, but they're both huge parties anyway.
