Firstly, have been looking at this website and reading the messageboard for several months as we have planning a trip- great site! We really appreciate the information and the people who help out with advice.
Have been trying to compare debit card fees for canadian bank cards. Has anyone located a website that shows comparisons for international transactions and currency exchange fees? I have seen comments about UK cards but none for Canada.
Also, my current card does not have a maestro or cirrus label which seem to be popular. 'The Exchange' and 'Plus' are the two noted- anyone with experience with these symbols?
Thank you very much!

Hi soccermom,
Thanks - glad you're finding the site helpful!
My Thai ATM card has a Plus icon on it and works in the vast majority of ATMs in Thailand, so if you're got Plus you should be mostly ok -- I've not heard of The Exchange though.
Can't help on a Canadian bank rate comparison -- but if you happen to find one, please post the website address here and I'll add it into the FAQs.
