I am looking for information (times/cost/duration) of bus routes in Laos but the info I have come across is dated and was wondering if anyone has up to date info for me for the following:
phonsaven (plain of jars) to luang prabang and
vang vieng to vientiane

Wow, questions don't get much easier than this! Phonsavanh to LP on the big public bus takes about 7 - 8 hours depending on the number of flat tires. A minivan cuts about 1-1.5 hours off this depending how daring the driver is and whether you want lunch on the way.

Oops, forgot to add that it's 3.5 hours by bus between Vte and Vang Vieng.
