I shall be visiting LuangP towards the end of April I note from an earlier post that theres a smoke problem due to to Farmers burning the fields.
How bad is it at this time. Is it a viewing or a serious breathing difficulty problem.

Hi Jevs,
It is primarily a viewing thing -- it isn't so bad that there are people suffocating on the street, but it does mess up pictures a lot...

Thanks for replies admin, haven't been to Laos yet but can add here that in Northern Thailand it obscures views too, although can make for some surreal spooky sunset photos (or sunrise if you happen to be around for that). You can smell it all the time to, a little but not enough to make you choke, and pales in comparison to city traffic.
