Day Trip to the Surrounds

    Hey guys, I'll be in Laos next May and was thinking of renting a motorbike to take in the surroundings of the various cities that I'm in for some short excursions.

    I've thought of a few possible options and would like some feedback/comments esp from those who've done it before.

    a) First option would be riding to and around the Phou Khao Khouay N.P. near Vientiane.
    b) Renting a bike from Vang Vieng and maybe heading to Kasi
    c) Renting a bike from Phonsavan (im not really sure what's there in the surrounds actually)
    d) Renting a bike from LP and heading to Nong Khiaw (stay a night and return the next day)
