Hi,
First off, thanks so much for this board! I've gotten so much info. here it's really been amazing.
I am trying to fly from Siem Reap to Luang Prabang. I have made two reservations and directly e-mailed Laos Airlines to ask about the reservations and not received any information.
What's up? How do I make a reservation and get the tickets? There's no airline offices anywhere nearby. What should I do?

This site (http://www.laoairlines.com/) doesn't have a place to make reservations or pay by credit card as far as I can tell. It also has the same contact as info. as I have used previously.
I called the Bangkok office this morning and had a women there told me that they will e-mail us with confirmation.
I arrive in Hanoi on the 13th and can pay at the office at the Hanoi airport but the flight is on the 5th of February so I am concerned that it will sell out and they won't honor my reservation.
The Paris site is just a travel agent -- they've picked up a few domain names that sound like offical airline sites and dress them up as an official site, but they're just another travel agent.
I remember reading a few complaints about them in the past, though haven't seen any in the last year or so...
Chewbaca, I think if you have an email confirmation with them they'll honour it.

I have no problem contacting Laos airlines for my internet ticket purchase VTE/LPQ/CHGX. They were quite prompt in response. But the site I used was: www.laos-airlines.com
and in case you are interested try this email for your reservation :
rbkk01@laos-airlines.com
The cntact person is Ms. Oratai Dee-ai . She is very nice and helpful and even made special arrangement for me to collect the tickets at no extra charge!

Hi Chewbaca,
Glad to hear you're finding the site helpful.
What website did you use to contact Lao Airlines? One is the official site, but the other is a travel agent in Paris...

The official site is http://www.laoairlines.com/
Is the Paris based site legit? Can flights be booked through them instead? Has anyone does this successfully?
