Luang Prabang to Hanoi by bus

    any idea for travelling from Luang Prabang to Hanoi by bus?

    I didn't do it, but when I was there a few years ago someone had booked the Vientinne to Hanoi bus to stop in Luang Prabang and pick him up. Just popped into any random agents office.

    If you're trying to save time it runs a straight 24 hours to arrival I think - though if time isn't an option you may have more fun breaking up the trip and stopping in Nong Kiaow on the way (can take a VIP minibus up) and then take local transport ot Sam Nuea for a night or two - then on to Vietnam.

    If you have time go to the Phonsovan and Xam Neua which were my highlight of Laos and it means you can break up that long journey. Bus was easy enough to catch from Xam Neua but it was long and uncomfortable.
