Hi, I'd like to find out the cost for visa on arrival for Canadians. I'm currently working in China, and was going to apply for a visa in advance from Beijing only to find out they charge approximately USD 50 at the Laos embassy in Beijing. Since I heard visa on arrival for most countries is USD30, just wondering if it's the same for Canadians. Thanks a lot for your help.

The cost varies depending on the port of entry but a visa on arrival is normally between US$30 and $35.

Thanks for your quick reply. I'm planning to enter from Luang Prabang International airport. Will stick to visa on arrival then since it's almost half of what i have to pay if getting it in advance.

Hey, heads up when you go there...
Canadians entering Laos pay the highest visa cost - $42 USD!!!
I have no idea why, but we were surprised when we got there. Make sure you have enough cash!!!
Still, a better deal than getting it in advance.
