Hey Guys,
Was hoping to get some advice on the bus trip between Vientiane to Vang Vieng?
If we fly into Vientiane late is it easy to catch a bus early the next morning?
I have read that booking a VIP bus/mini bus is a gamble because you might sometimes be on a plastic chair in the isle. Are the normal buses ok to travel on?
Thanksss

It's just a 150km 3-4hr ride so don't stress over it too much. No need to pre-book a bus just get to the Talat Sao bus station early like 7-8am and take the next departure. If you end up on a plastic stool well that's just Laos for ya, part of the "experience". Or book a minivan with a guesthouse or travel agent the night before (costs more but faster and you'll be with other backpackers on the way to make "Friends"!)

Yes its easy. Yes, you might be in the aisle if the bus is full. Get there early to avoid that.
