Hi everyone,
I've read a few trip reports now where people have said it can get really cold in Laos (in particular on boat journeys and buses). How cold is it in May/June? Do we need heavy duty jackets etc or can we get away with long sleeved shirts or fleeces?

Not sure about May/June but it was lovely in Luang Prabang in Febuary which is the cooler season. We had singlet tops and shorts on most days maybe a shirt with short sleeves at night. It was freezing on the boat trip from thailand to LP but thats because we were moving fairly fast. I took one jacket and one pair jeans and that was plenty.
