Is there a bus from Udon Airport to Vientiane that stops at the border to allow the purchase of a visa and then onward travel?
The rough plan is stay in Vientiane for 2 nights then do a 2 night tour to Kong Lor and return for 1n Vientiane then onto Nong Khai for 3 nights.
Or is it better to visit Kong Lor from Nakhon Phanom?

There is a mini bus direct from the airport to the Friendship Bridge.
