How can I get to Sam Neua from Luang Prabang? Any direct flights from LP or VTN?
BTW, what is the correct pronunciation for the word "Neua"?

Try the german pronunciation for "ue" (google it) - quite the same. Don't think there is an analogue in english.

There is a direct bus to Sam Neua. Cost is 130 or 140K. Should take 13 hours. 2 departures daily. Still haven't gotten to the bottom of the flying situation to Sam Neua.
