Yes, in August 17-18, 07, shortly coming there will be the Boat Racing Festival to be held in Luang Prabang. If you are on the move now, or already in Laos, let's join this festival. During the same month, there will also be the Boun Khao Padabdin (Rice) and Boat Racing Festival in Luang Prabang. In the Khao Padabdin ceremony, Laotian people visit local temples to make offerings to dead ancestors as well as to share merit-making. This festival includes boat racing on the Nam Khan River and you will get excited with a trade fair in Luang Prabang World Heritage town!

If your trip in Laos is as long as until October, you will find Laos has so many festive and traditional festivals to explore. These include:
- Boat Racing Festival in Champassak, (September 2)

- Boun Khao Salak (Rice) when people offer foods and repects for dead ancestors to obtain merit. In this event, exciting longboat-racing competitions are held to celebrate the River. This festival is held during the 1oth full moon of the lunar calendar(September 26)

- Boat Racing Festival in Vientiane (October 2- 3)
