Does anybody know if there is a direct bus conection between Paksan and Phonsavanh?.Thanx.

According to this there is a daily bus in the other direction, so it probably goes both ways.

Here is another thread with some info. Seems there are definitely buses available. Wikitravel says time has been drastically reduced and only takes 5 hrs but that was about the same time mooball posted 8 hrs.

More also here on the transport page - says departs at 08:20 -- but Laos being Laos, I'd get there at 7:30 and hope to leave by 10:00 :-)
