Hi Everyone,
Does anyone know what the current deal is with getting a Loas Visa in Cambodia. My current plan is to use the Southern Loas border crossing which I understand doesn't do tourist visas. Am I able to get one in Siem Reap (last major city I'll be before Laos) or do I need to get one in Phnom Penh.
Everything I've read so far gives conflicting information.
Thanks,
Patrick
You'll need to get it in Phnom Penh -- no Lao consulate in Siem Reap to our knowledge. If you're planning on being in Thailand before Cambodia, you could always get it in Bangkok...

Thanks Somtam,
I will be in Phnom Penh, but not sure for how long - how long does it take?
What about Ho Chi Minh City?
Thanks,
Patrick

Hi Patrick,
Here's the details:
The embassy has a 1 day turnaround on visas.
Cost depends on your nationality -- here are some samples:
Australia US$30
USA $40
Canada $47
Those prices are from the embassy -- travel agents would tack on a service charge.
