Vang Vieng to Vientiane airport

    Greetings all,

    I need to get from Vang Vieng to Vientaine to catch a flight leaving at 1540. On paper it seems quite doable to leave VV on the morning of the flight. Is transport on that route reliable enough to get there on time, or should I play safe and travel to Vientiane the previous day.

    Grazee, its theoretically possible, but seriously I would not try it. If something goes wrong - flat tyre etc etc, you will be really stressed. Why not spend the night in Vientiane be stress free?

    hi grazee,

    i remember that road trip being fairly flat and reasonably reliable, with several buses leaving v.v. in the morning for vientiane. even so, i agree with rufus that you'd be better off spending a stress-free and fun evening in vientiane the night before your flight. cheers.
