Uups! What I wanted to ask: Has anyone used the Laos-airlines.com site to book tickets with Lao Airline recently? They are offering a bargain excursion pass. I read some negative things about them (a scam? an agency in Paris?), but the posts were all more than 1 year old. Thanks for any info.
There have been so many posts on this in the past. As the above post mentions, this is NOT the Laos Airlines site. You cannot as yet book Lao Air tickets on line. Do NOT use the above site. It masquerades as the legitimate site.

the bargain excursion pass mentioned on the phony Lao Air website is simply the Discover Air Pass, and can be used on Bangkok Airways, Lao Airline, and/or Siem Reap Airways; you can read more about it on Lao Air's true website: www.laoairlines.com/airfare_new_n3.html or at Bangkok Airways: www.bangkokair.com/discoveryairpass/.
As others here have stated, the laos-airlines.com site is a look-alike site run by a French travel agent(ECCR in Paris and Bangkok), unscrupulously posing as an official Lao Air website. We unwittingly used them to book tix and wound up having major problems with the pre-paid booking, was not honored by Lao Air staff. I would definitely NOT recommend using them.

Are you using FireFox to access the Lao Air site? With FireFox, it looks like site functionality is affected. Try visiting with Internet Explorer, seems like the site functions properly there.

Well thanks A LOT. T'was a firefox problem!
Not all flights available online, so I'd be glad to know if flights, domestic and to BKK, sell out quickly (mid January) Anyone have any experience with booking say 1 to 2 weeks in advance?

you likely will not have any problems booking a couple of weeks ahead. When Lao Air helped us sort out the problematic pre-paid booking from ECCR, they were easily able to find us seats on the same flight we had originally booked, leaving the following day and right at the very busy travel time of Phi Mai, Lao New Year.

Hi Regina,
The page you list is for a Parisian travel agent. The official website for Lao Airlines is here.

Yup, it's a firefox problem -- the site seems to work fine with Internet Explorer.
